Hannibal Crossing the Alps History

It was a cold November day, November 15th 218 BC to be exact, where Hannibal went marching through conquered territory in Spain and France.

It was then that he demonstrated the astounding feat of crossing the Alps, a very difficult feat to do!

He had only 26,000 of his men left, that began with 82,000, and he was going up against a Roman army of over a million soldiers.

Rome was the mightiest military power of that time, yet Hannibal defeated them in every battle for the next fifteen years.

While Sun Tzu gets more credit for being a great military strategist, Hannibal is also known as a military strategist father. His methods are still being taught in the top military schools in the US, England, France, Germany, and a few others.
